Personality Magic has always come easily to Li-Ming, and she was prone to experimentation with it. One of her teachers, Master Valthek, agreed upon her genius (though denied ever admitting such). The term "Wizard" is often given to Mages with rebellious attitudes, or obsessions with power -- Li-Ming displays both, and is hardly ashamed of it. She is extremely confident, perhaps rightfully so, and frequently boasts of superior power and skill when in battle.

During her time as a student, Li-Ming often showed disobedience, studying the arcane independently, without guidance (or permission) from superiors, particularly magic involving time and space. Many teachers condemned the girl's arrogance, yet each magister was defeated single-handedly before the end of Li-Ming's tutelage.
